Third meeting of Action for Children and Families of Prisoners

The key focus of the third network meeting was to inform the updating of “Picking up the Pieces”: The Rights and Needs of Children and Families affected by Imprisonment. Members were asked to bring their top three ‘policy asks’ to inform the paper.

Three network members presented their research to inform the updated policy paper:

• The impact of parental incarceration on families involved: Findings from the Growing up in Ireland study, Dr. Daragh Bradshaw
• The Mothering Project, Dr. Sinead O’ Malley
• Prisoners Returning Home: Prisoners and Family Reintegration, Dr. Kieran O’ Dwyer
